Sunken in tear troughs are the reason for your tired look. You might think that your eye bags are a result of lack of sleep, which may very well be true, but it can be so much more than that! Many men and women decide to undergo the tear trough filler treatment to get rid of this sunken look.
What causes sunken tear troughs?
Tear troughs, or sunken eye sockets, can be brought on by ageing as the collagen and elastin production slows down and the skin thins and sags. This creates small fat pouches under the eye and casts a shadow across the area. Tear troughs can also be genetic, appearing from a young age and becoming more severe as you get older. Some people really like the look of sunken in tear troughs, as they add a certain gauntness to the face, which is attractive to some. Most people, however, think that sunken in tear troughs are a result of a bad night’s sleep. The difference between normal, dark under-eye bags and sunken in tear troughs, is that the first is because of a lack of sleep and genetics, whilst the other is part of ageing.
House of Bratz tear trough filler treatment
Tear trough filler are a series of micro-injections that are placed along the line of the hollow, sunken area. The goal is to help reverse the sunken area and return volume, whilst still maintaining an aesthetically pleasing, natural look. Most clients want a subtle improvement and not a complete transformation. No two faces are the same, so our advice will be personal and specific to you only. We use hyaluronic acid to fill the necessary areas. Hyaluronic acid can be found in your own body, meaning that it is a natural substance. It is a moisture magnet that helps your cells retain their elasticity. This, in turn, creates skin that not only appears hydrated and plump, but is actually healthy as well. Exactly what you need and what you will get from the tear trough filler treatment at House of Bratz.
Tear trough filler treatment process
Before we start with your tear trough filler treatment, we sit down together for a consultation. We discuss what exactly you would like to change and what you want to achieve with your tear trough filler treatment. We use different methods, depending on what kind of results you want to achieve. Your medical background and history influence what type of treatment will suit you best, which is why we always talk about this before we start the injection process. Then, we take pictures of the area that will be treated. That way, you will have your own personal before and after photos of your tear trough filler treatment. Many of our clients find the results astonishing!
After we have photographed your tear troughs, we will apply an anaesthetic cream to the area. Our House of Bratz specialist will then administer the injectable filler with an ultra-thin (cannula) needle. It will restore the loss of volume under your eyes, giving you a fresher, more open and less tired look. This fairly easy treatment usually takes between 10 and 20 minutes, not including the time we use for putting the anaesthetic cream on.
How long does it take to see the results?
You’ll see the effect of the tear trough filler treatment immediately. The treated area may be swollen and/or somewhat blue and red. That’s perfectly normal, so don’t worry. After about 2 weeks, the area has healed, and the result is exactly what it should be. Don’t worry about looking overfilled, it is swelling that will go down.
What to not do after the treatment?
We advise you to not do the following things after your tear trough filler treatment at House of Bratz:
- No smoking, no alcohol consumption, and no physical exercise the first 24 hours.
- Limit sun exposure and don’t visit tanning beds the first 2 weeks.
- No sauna, spa, and hammam for the first 2 weeks.
- No facial treatments, such as laser treatments or peels, the first 2 weeks.
