A nose tip lift can make a huge difference in your facial expressions and, in turn, your overall aesthetic. A droopy nose tip creates the illusion of your face being pulled down by gravity. A droopy nose can also have a very positive effect on the face if the other facial features are high set and pulled up. The droopy nose creates a contrasting pull that balances the rest of the face. As is the case with every cosmetic treatment, it really depends on the individual if the droopy nose tip looks good. Your opinion matters most, of course! Do you feel like your droopy nose tip pulls your face down and has more negatives than positives? A nose tip lift Botox treatment at House of Bratz might just be your solution.
What is a droopy nose tip?
A droopy nose tip is exactly what it sounds like. The tip of your nose droops down, instead of having a more straight or upturned stop at the tip. The nose hooks downward making it look elongated. This type of nose is also referred to as nasal tip ptosis or a saggy nose. As we said before, a droopy nose can be very beautiful. It depends on the other facial features and if they balance the droopiness of the nose. Some people don’t have a droopy nose when their face is neutral but will experience a droopy nose when their face starts moving. For example, when laughing or smiling.
The droopy nose is the opposite of the upturned Tinkerbell nose shape. This is a small nose shape with a protruding tip at the end and a dent in the nose bridge. This type of nose shape can be created with a liquid nose job at House of Bratz or with surgical rhinoplasty. A nose tip lift Botox treatment can also create a more subtle upturned look.
Why do I have a droopy nose tip?
The drooping is caused by a lack or loss of structure on the nasal tip, which is what supports the nasal tip. You can have a droopy nose because you have too much cartilage around the nose, or if your cartilage lacks firmness. The drooping often becomes more pronounced as we age, because gravity, the use of the nose and loss of elastane and collagen influences the structure daily.
Maybe you only have a droopy nose when you smile, or with certain other facial expressions. The nose is made mostly from cartilage, anchored in place by three main muscles. The pull of these muscles can impact the shape of the nose, especially the flexible nasal tip. The base and tip of the nose are attached by the depressor septi nasi muscle. This muscle connects the upper jaw and the nose, which impacts the appearance of the nasal tip and nostrils. If the tip of the nose droops, it can be due to the tension of the depressor septi nasi muscle. An easy solution is relaxing this muscle with the nose tip lift Botox treatment. This allows the nasal tip to lift, creating a perkier appearance.
House of Bratz nose tip lift Botox treatment
The goal of correcting your droopy nose is to achieve a more perky appearance and stop the nose from drooping whilst smiling, laughing or performing other facial expressions. House of Bratz creates this look, whilst also making sure that the look is aesthetically pleasing and suits your face. Not everyone can pull off the upturned nose look, and you can count on us to be very honest about what will work for your face and what won’t.
House of Bratz has perfected the art of using Botox to create beautiful results using the nose tip lift Botox treatment. Botox (also known as Botulinum toxin) is a muscle relaxer. Our House of Bratz specialists will inject the relaxer into the septi nasi muscle. This muscle is responsible for pulling the nose down. The nose tip lift Botox treatment will relieve the tension in this muscle, which will lift the nose tip, creating a more straight or upturned look.
Nose tip lift Botox treatment process
The nose tip lift Botox treatment by House of Bratz is a pretty simple and straightforward treatment. When you arrive at your appointment, one of our House of Bratz specialists will talk you through the process. We want to know what exactly you would like to achieve with your nose tip lift Botox treatment. Do you want a more upturned look and does this suit your face? Or would you rather have a straight nose without downward movement when you smile? We take a look at your medical background and then decide what treatment would suit you best. Before we start the injection process, we take pictures of the area that will be treated. The results of the nose tip lift Botox treatment will be clear as day when you compare the before and after photos.
We apply a topical anaesthetic to numb the area. The area will be thoroughly cleaned and the House of Bratz specialist will then prick the areas to be treated. We will use a thin, sterilised needle to inject Botox into the skin under the nose and around the tip. This treatment will typically require multiple injections, but it shouldn’t take long. Including your consultation, it will take around 5 to 15 minutes.
How long does it take to see the results?
You will probably experience some slight stinging or numbness in the area of your injections after you leave your nose tip lift Botox treatment at your House of Bratz clinic. This is normal, and these side effects should wear off within a day or so. There may be small red spots where you have been injected, but these are almost unnoticeable. You are immediately presentable after the treatment. Botox takes several days to take full effect, so give it time. Within 3 to 4 days, you’ll start to see the first results, but it will take up to 14 days to see the best results. After about 3 to 6 months, the effect wears off, and you can repeat the treatment. The more often the treatment is performed, the longer it takes for the effect of the muscle relaxant to wear off.
What to do after the treatment?
We advise you to not do the following things after your nose tip lift Botox treatment at House of Bratz:
- No facial treatments, such as laser treatments or peels, for the first 2 weeks.
- Stay out of the sun for 2 weeks and don’t go indoor tanning.
