Lip fillers are, for a lack of a better word, ‘it’, right now. With good reason! Lips are a very essential and central part of the face. Women have painted their lips in all kinds of colours since the beginning of time. A beautiful mouth is seen as a sign of youth, sensuality, and health. Beautiful lips come in all shapes and sizes, but most people love the look of full, plump lips. We recommend our lip filler treatment if you want naturally fuller lips and a more youthful appearance. The lip filler treatment is also suitable for those who wish to restore the contour and volume in their lips or want to correct asymmetric lips.
Why do people love fuller lips?
Thin lips get a bad rep nowadays but can be stunning if they suit your face! However, fuller, plumper lips are often seen as more feminine, just as big eyes are seen as more feminine. They are, what researchers and aesthetic experts call, neotenous features. Neoteny is a more difficult term for baby-like features. Having a neotenous face, or a baby face, is seen as attractive (for women, for men it has the opposite effect). Having full lips creates a more youthful, neotenous look, which is why many women use lip fillers. The lip filler treatment by House of Bratz creates the look you want.
Why do I have thin lips?
Some people are born with naturally thin lips, as a result of genetics. Certain ethnicities appear to have more people with thin lips, than others. Although thin lips are most often a result of genetics, they can also occur as a result of age. As our skin loses its elasticity, our collagen production slows, affecting our lips negatively, causing them to lose firmness and take on a thinner appearance.
House of Bratz lip filler treatment
You are beautiful, with thin lips or with full lips. If you, however, prefer the second option, House of Bratz can help you with the lip filler treatment. The goal is to help nature a little and plump up your thin lips, whilst still maintaining their natural shape. Are you not happy with your natural lip shape? We can talk about the possibility of going for another lip shape during the consultation. House of Bratz wants to create your dream results and will make sure that it suits your face for an aesthetically pleasing look. No two mouths are the same, so our advice will be personal and specific to you only.
We use hyaluronic acid to create your beautiful, full lips. You can find hyaluronic acid naturally in your body. It is a moisture magnet that helps your cells retain their elasticity. This, in turn, creates skin that not only appears hydrated and plump, but is actually healthy as well. All our fillers contain Lidocaine, which ensures that the area of injection is numb.
Lip filler treatment process
Before we start with your lip filler treatment, we sit down together for a consultation. We discuss what exactly you would like to change and what you want to achieve with your lip filler treatment. We use different methods, depending on what kind of results you want to achieve. We take a look at your medical background and history, and then decide what treatment would suit you best. Before we start the injection process, we take pictures of the area that we will treat. That way, you will have your personal before and after photos of your lip injection treatment.
After we have photographed the lips, we will apply an anaesthetic cream to the lips. Our House of Bratz specialist will then administer the injectable filler with an ultra-thin cannula needle. This restores volume, provides contour to the lips, or increases their size, depending on what your wishes were during the consultation. This fairly easy treatment usually takes between 10 and 20 minutes.
How long does it take to see the results?
A lip filler treatment has an immediate effect. After the treatment, the treated area may be swollen or somewhat blue and red. That means that your lips will look bigger than you planned, but after about 2 weeks, the area has healed, and the result is precisely what it should be. Don’t worry about looking overfilled, it truly is the swelling which will go down.
What not to do after the treatment?
We advise you to not do the following things after your lip filler treatment at House of Bratz:
- No smoking, no alcohol consumption, and no physical exercise the first 24 hours.
- Limit sun exposure and don’t visit tanning beds the first 2 weeks.
- No sauna, spa, and hammam for the first 2 weeks.
- No facial treatments, such as laser treatments or peels, the first 2 weeks.
