High cheekbones. Some are naturally blessed with them; others dream of the day they’ll have them. Men and women love pronounced cheekbones, although for different reasons. According to a study in The Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, high cheekbones are seen as an indicator of high oestrogen levels in women, as well as a sign of youthfulness. Both youthfulness and high oestrogen levels are components men gravitate towards when seeking a partner. High cheekbones in men are seen as attractive because they broaden the face. A wide, square jaw combined with high cheekbones is seen as masculine and strong looking, which is what women gravitate towards.
Reasons to undergo a cheekbones filler treatment
There are many reasons why people choose to undergo cheekbones filler treatment. Even those with naturally gorgeous cheekbones tend to lose their shape as they age. Fillers help restore the lost volume to the cheekbones and are also used to accentuate them beautifully. High cheekbones accentuate the V-shape that many women dream of, as well as lifting the face subtly. For women, the result of cheekbones filler treatment is a well-rested look that is natural, feminine, and elegant. For men, the cheekbone filler treatment creates a sharp line that accentuates the broadness and manliness of the jawline. Both sexes experience a softening of the nasolabial fold, creating a more youthful look.
House of Bratz cheekbones filler treatment
Cheekbone fillers are a series of injections that are placed along the line of the cheekbone. Before we start injecting the area, we use a white pencil to create a ‘sketch’ on the face to ensure we inject the right areas. Our objective is to either help reverse the sunken area and return the volume to your cheekbones, or to add volume and accentuate the cheekbones even more. We maintain a natural look that is aesthetically pleasing and perfectly fitted to your face. Most of our clients want a subtle improvement and not a complete transformation. Cheekbone filler is not something you want to go overboard with because more often than not, it negatively impacts your overall aesthetic when overfilled.
We use hyaluronic acid to fill the necessary areas. Hyaluronic acid can be found in your body, meaning that it is a natural substance. It is a moisture magnet that helps your cells retain their elasticity. This, in turn, creates skin that not only appears hydrated and plump, but is actually healthy as well.
Cheekbones filler treatment process
All our treatments start with consultations. Before we do anything to your face, we discuss what exactly you would like to change and what you want to achieve. We use different methods, depending on what kind of results you want to achieve, and are always honest and transparent about the possibilities. Your medical background and history influence what type of treatment will suit you best. Then, we take pictures of the area that will be treated. That way, you will have your personal before and after photos of your cheekbones filler treatment. Many of our clients find the results amazing!
We will apply an anaesthetic cream to the cheekbone area. Our House of Bratz specialist will then administer the injectable filler with an ultra-thin cannula needle. It will restore or add volume, giving you those beautiful high cheekbones, everyone is so in love with. This fairly easy treatment usually takes between 10 and 20 minutes, not including the time we use for putting the anaesthetic cream on and letting it sit.
How long does it take to see the results?
You’ll see the effect of the cheekbone filler treatment immediately. The treated cheekbone area may be swollen and/or somewhat blue and red. That’s perfectly normal, so don’t worry. Some believe that they look overfilled, but it’s the swelling that gives that impression. We recommend patience. After about 2 weeks, the area has healed, and the result is precisely what it should be.
What not to do after the treatment?
We advise you to not do the following things after your cheekbone filler treatment at House of Bratz:

- Limit sun exposure and don’t visit tanning beds the first 2 weeks.
- No sauna, spa, and hammam for the first 2 weeks.
